Today we have our food contributor extraordinaire Amanda Franklin showing us how to make fish tacos with a red cabbage mango slaw. I tried one of these tacos and loved it so much I ended up making them again the following week. This recipe is great if you need a quick, healthy, and easy weekday recipe. But it's also a great choice if you are entertaining in the summer months.

So many of you have asked me to post more recipes here at STYLE'N so I am so excited to announce that we have Amanda Franklin on board as our new food contributor. Amanda is not only one of my closest friends but she is a beautiful and talented model, and she has this amazing ability to whip up quick, healthy and delicous meals. Amanda and I will be sharing our favorite dishes with a focus on Vietnamese, Indian, and fusion recipes. There will also be some fun cocktails in the mix too!
One of my favorite things to do is to hit the local Barnes and Noble, grab a coffee and a few cookbooks from the bargain section, and browse through the books for inspiration and ideas for new recipes. And almost always I end up buying at least one of these bargain books. While typical curry books contain Indian curries, I liked new curries because it also contains curries from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. One of the first recipes I tried from this book was chili shrimp with a pistachio cilantro rub. It was super easy to make and I served it as an appetizer at a dinner party. I really liked the dish and ended up making it again and the second time around I served the shrimp over salad along with corn on the cob and naan for a quick and easy weeknight meal.
I am always thinking of ways to create new and interesting vegetarian fusion dishes and this recipe for paneer bruschetta is one I would highly recommend. Paneer bruschetta is easy to make and is the perfect appetizer to serve at a dinner party. You can easily prepare the paneer mix in advance and toast the bread and assemble the bruschetta immediately before serving.
I am off to North Carolina tomorrow morning to attend a wedding shower for my sister and to help my sister and family finalize the remaining details for the wedding. I still cannot believe my little sister is getting married in one month.
If you are interested in making a dessert that is quick and easy but tastes so good everyone will think you spent all day in the kitchen, then this Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake is for you. My friend Purvi gave me this recipe and while I don't have much of a sweet tooth I absolutely cannot resist this sinfully delicious and decadent cheesecake. The cheesecake is smooth and rich and it just melts in your mouth. This is the third time I have made the cheesecake this month and lucky for me I had a little helper this time around.
My mom made these mini phyllo cups with peas and potatoes on Thanksgiving and they were such a crowd pleaser. So of course I had to try making them for myself and they turned out to be super easy and delicious.
